Jokulsarlon is a glacial lake filled with icebergs. It was not a planned stop for us and we almost didn't hit it. Jokulsarlon is a recently created lake which was a mere puddle in the early 1900s and drasticly increases size around the 1950's. The creation of this lake was due to global climate, and weather pattern changes. Iceland's weather has changed drastically within the last 100 years causing an entire shift in food production from corn, cows, and sheep to almost entirely sheep.
